Why use bit.ly linker?

Bit.ly linker not only automatically creates bit.ly links from your posts but also adds Google tracking code to the link so that Google Analytics can register the link and you can measure visitor stats from the link

Google Analytics traditional hasn’t dealt with bit.ly links very well, they log them as direct traffic and you have no way of knowing how well (or badly) a particular link is doing. Now with bit.ly linker you can add personalised tracking code to the link so that Analytics will register is differently and you will be able to properly track the success of your links.
