Anyone still using the block editor in 2023 won’t find this plugin useful. However, if you’re using the original Wordpress editor, or pages with Elementor, this plugin works great!

Just wanted to let everyone know that this plugin does not work with the block editor (default editor since WP 5.0), so don’t waste your time installing it if you plan to use it with the block editor

Tested with WordPress 5.3.2. Just set a limit and select the post types you want to apply it to.
When entering the title of a new post, the number of remaining characters is displayed at the right side of the text box. When the number of characters exceeds the limit, the number goes negative and turns red.
