Requirements

The plugin needs two packages to be installed on your server in order to handle complex PDF files that have forms – annotations – bookmarks and to handle some PDF files which use Compressed Cross-reference and Object Streams for data structure.

  • QPDF min V 9.1.1
  • GhostScript

How to use

  • Activate the plugin
  • Upload PDF file
  • Access the PDF attachment edit page from media page
  • You can add password to the PDF file from the Sidebar metabox “PDF password options”.

I wanted to password protect a few PDFs and this plugin did exactly what I wanted. It has couple of cons and hope the developer fixes them asap.Please update the plugin so it’s compatible with latest WP version. And, I can’t seem to change/remove password? All fields stay greyed and unclickable. So, a user have to reupload PDF file if they want to change password. Hoping to see these fixes soon. This is a nice plugin. 5* because, it fulfilled what I wanted. Thanks again.
