It is a consent management platform (CMP) with built-in, auto-generated, auto-updated privacy policy and cookie policy. It is designed to allow users with any level of technical knowledge to get their website GDPR compliant hassle-free. Implementation is simply copy-paste. It also enables website visitors to easily make their privacy preferences and see all the information regarding their privacy settings, as well as the website policies in one place – the privacy widget, which they can always access via the bottom left corner of the website when enabled. **How does it work?** * TRUENDO scans your website and identifies cookies and the types of personal data the website collects. I set up things in their cloud. The app fetches the cookies automatically once I insert the URL. I copy their site- ID and put it in the field in their wordpress plugin. Zum einen sitzt die Firma in Österreich, was die Umsetzung der Datenschutzbestimmungen sehr einfach macht, weil die Österreicher so wie wir Deutsche ziemlich genau auf dieses ganze Datenschuzgedöns achten. Dann haben sie eine einfache Oberfläche, bei der ich als Anbieter ziemlich viel machen kann. Aber vor allen Dingen: ich finde mich zurecht. Und muss mich nicht durch endlose Dokumentationen wühlen, was bei anderen Diensten durchaus mal der Fall sein kann. Außerdem scannen sie automatisch die Webseite und fügen die gefundenen Skripte direkt hinzu. Und sie sind schon in die jeweiligen Kategorien vorsortiert. Aber was – neben vielen weiteren Dingen – wirklich gut ist: das Cookiebanner/CMP ist unaufdringlich und exakt. Beim Aufruf der Seite nutze ich ein hübsches Popup und wenn die Leute konfigurieren wollen, geht die übersichtliche Seitenleiste auf. Da können sie auch direkt die Links zum Impressum und Datenschutz sehen und auch ihre Einwilligung kontrollieren. Vereinfacht gesagt: sehr guter Service für die meisten Nutzer. Kostenpflichtig, aber den Preis wert. Hat noch viele Zusatzfunktionen. Werden mit der Zeit sicher noch einige weitere Dienste zur Auswahl nachziehen (weitere Newsletteranbieter, Surveys u. ä.). Kann ich guten Gewissens empfehlen. Und das WordPress Plugin ist simpel: wenn aktiviert, dann einfach auf “Truendo aktivieren” gehen und dann die Seiten-ID eintragen. Speichern. Fertig.
