Run a scan on demand or let the weekly schedule create the next snapshot, then see which public URLs were added, removed or changed since the previous complete scan.

Weekly scans and manual scans are included, with no account or license key.

Compare the two latest complete snapshots.

Distinguish added URLs, removed URLs, permalink changes and metadata activity.

Download the inventory or change report as CSV from an authenticated admin screen.

See the last successful run, the next weekly attempt, active work and stale or failed runs.

Scan in bounded batches; an unfinished scan does not replace the last complete inventory.

The initial version includes published, non-password-protected native posts and pages. Custom post types, attachments, archives, orders, private posts, drafts, password-protected posts, rendered-content crawling and SEO integrations are outside this version.

The inventory uses WordPress's native visibility flags. Membership or other access-control plugins may impose additional restrictions. It does not verify that URLs return HTTP 200 or are indexable, and a metadata update does not prove that visible text changed. Each snapshot observes content during the scan interval, rather than providing an instantaneous database snapshot.

Privacy and data

The plugin stores post IDs, public titles, permalinks, types and modification timestamps in plugin-owned database tables. It does not copy post bodies, authors, visitors, orders or user account details. It makes no external HTTP requests, sends no email and has no telemetry. Reports are not written to the Media Library or a public file directory.

Only users with the manage_options capability can use the dashboard and download reports. Historical change reports can retain a URL and title that were public when captured and later removed or unpublished. Current inventory downloads recheck native publication/password visibility. Keep these reports within your trusted administrative team.

Two completed snapshots are retained, with temporary working data and the most recent attempt's aggregate status. Obsolete generations are removed in bounded cleanup jobs. Deactivation stops the plugin's jobs and retains its data. Deleting the plugin removes its tables, options and scheduled jobs, without changing WordPress content.

All runtime source is human-readable PHP, JavaScript and CSS included in the package. No compilation step or remote service is needed to run the plugin.

Upload the digix-url-watch folder to wp-content/plugins, or install the ZIP through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.

Activate Digix URL Watch on a single-site WordPress installation.

Open Tools > URL Watch and select Run scan now to establish the baseline.

After updating public content, run another scan to see changes.

The weekly schedule is enabled on activation. You can pause it under Schedule and data.

Why is my scan late?

WP-Cron is triggered by visits unless your host supplies a system runner.
