Classic Editor

Old is good

I really don’t like the new editor. I’ve tried using it for a few days but I’m switching back to the old one.
The document editable area width is way smaller than the original editor, and I can’t understand why that’s not re-sizable (seriously why ????…??? that’s literally a CSS trick!)
Switching to HTML is harder than before.
Tiny MCE is not working properly, I’ve lost many useful features such as anchor links.
Inserting a picture moves the cursor at the top of the document which is very annoying.

The only thing I like about the new editor is the AJAX save without reload feature.

Best editor until Gutenberg solve some major issue

Gutenberg have one major problem. Just as simple as having a Title, and then a paragraphs of text follow by a image, and then follow by another paragraph of text, there is no easy way to do this in Gutenberg. You have to create many different blocks for all these above.

In the Classic editor, you can just type what you do in WORD, and then add media to attach an image, and the keep on typing another paragraph of text. This CANNOT be done in Gutenberg.

thank god for the classic editor

I still don’t understand why Gutenberg wasn’t released as a plugin instead of the so called classic editor. Gutenberg is something for but not for developers that know how to build websites.

Lifeline. Thank you.

Thank you so much.

Cheers to everyone who is battling this mess, another late night with yet-another latte, trying to make sure small business owners stay in business…just in time for the holidays.
