codeguard

Plugin does exactly what it's supposed to do that's by far easier than backing up sites through CodeGuard, however how this is done entirely defeats the purpose of backups of having CodeGuard in the first place. Your backups are stored locally on your Wordpress installation that CodeGuard has access to. I can see little reason to ever store your backups from anywhere but a secure remote server, which is why you have CodeGuard in the first place. Just keep doing your backups the traditional way.

Looks stuck at plugins updating it… Did it manual update to fix the problem.

The ftp/sftp works but it is a pain to set it up. The plugin does not work at all in half of my webites. I have contacted customer service and they do not know what causes it. The only suggestion was to use the ftp method. As a service, Codeguard is really great (although BackupBuddy is catching up with live stash) but they really need to sort the issues with this plugin.

What a delightful surprise today that CodeGuard has brought back their sorely missed WordPress plugin. We are honored to be the first user to leave your plugin a 5-star review, and continue to be your biggest fans ever since the very beginning. As our managed WordPress hosting company has grown, your service has been one of the most adored features for our customers by far, and your team has been amazingly receptive to every piece of feedback and feature suggestion that we've shared. Continue doing what you're doing, CodeGuard, and here's to many more years to come of the best backup service on the web! (even for non-WordPress websites… nothing beats your remote Git-based system). Cheers and many thanks!
